The concept of Universal Design is attributed to the respect to differences among individual users, regardless of physique, gender, age or physical strength. There are plenty of inconvenience things in our daily life, such as right-handed scissors handle for lefty, over-height dining chair for children, small print not readable by elders, unfriendly-interface electronics, misleading signage and narrow aisle design to accommodate wheelchairs...etc. Designers shall imagine when being children or elders, what would be the requirements to deal with these situations. This should lead to an extent of possibilities in Universal Design.

Therefore Universal Design means to take a fresh look at things we take for granted, and further re-make things to be used with ease. The principles of Universal Design we apply are:
